The Sons of Portugal Band was founded in 1940 by the members of the Sons of Portugal Club. Currently, the Band calls the Portuguese Cultural Center it's home and continues to provide traditional band music to events in the Danbury area.

Are you a musician? Come and join us every Sunday morning for rehearsal! You don't need to be Portuguese, you only need to enjoy music!
For the general public: We provide musical entertainment for events throughout the community.
For ameteur musicians: the band provides an outlet to explore musical interest, a venue to rehearse in a group setting, and time to practice and improve your ability.
We're always looking for new musicians. There are no fees or dues required, free breakfast every Sunday. Rehearsals are 10:15 every Sunday morning at the Portuguese Cultural Center's rehearsal room. Stop by and listen enjoy some breakfast.
As a result of the temporary closing of the PCC building, the band is currently rehearsing at the Beckerle Hose Co. headquarters on 69 Liberty St. in Danbury. Rehearsals are on Sundays at 10:15am.
